Team DC O.
Our namesake, Daniel Chessman Oakes, or DC Oakes as he was known-- was one of Colorado's earliest settlers, opening the State's first sawmill and lumber yard and serving as one of the first members of the Denver City Council. Known for his impressive beard and adventurous nature, we've aimed to emulate his tireless work ethic, as well as his ability to habitually succeed. Much like Colorado itself, beer making is deeply rooted in a history of inventors, adventurers, and risk takers. All of these people share a love for Colorado, and we want to celebrate that with you. With over six decades of professional experience in the restaurant and brewing industries, the DC Oakes team welcomes you to share a seat at the table with us.

Food was great for my husband who got the steak. I personally ate his corn with green chili and that was wonderful. Unfortunately I ordered the Greek salad and there was to much dressing which was sour.
Service was great. It's a great location and the atmosphere is wonderful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tandt W.Fort Collins, CO0132Oct 23, 2023
We eat there a few times a month, and the food is typically good. Consistently cooked well, good flavors, pretty attentive servers.
I'm really unsure of what's going on with the plethora of flies that always seem to be in this place. No matter where we sit (upstairs or down), or what time of year it is, there always seem to be flies that invade our table or booth. Yesterday may have been the breaking point for me though. They were everywhere--it was as if we were eating outside. It's not fun to try to eat and keep swatting flies away.
If there is a next time, I may need to bring my fly swatter or sticky traps.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brianna R.Hayden Island, Portland, OR12162Apr 11, 2024
Our favorite restaurant we went to in the area during our 2 week stay! Great ambiance, delicious burgers and drinks. The soccer mom cocktail was my favorite, every burger we tried (went there twice) was delish, and the sweet potato fries with spicy ranch were amazing!

A great find in Fort Collins! A beautiful combination of ambiance, good service and good food. The west coast IPA has great flavor profile. I noticed from other reviews to try the turkey sandwich and I agree, it's delicious and goes perfectly with your beer. There is outside seating, bar seating, booths and upstairs seating. Great destination for friends and family.

Had the DCO Burger, really enjoyed the taste of the burger and the bread in particular was nice and soft. I don't care too much for fries that are dipped in some type of codeine whether it's flour or something more extravagant, I just like fries al la natural.
The bar area was a little tight with all the 90° angles of the bar, so you can't sit that many people there without bumping into each other. The beer selection was good and they offer local brews from other breweries. The menu was pretty extensive so there were a lot of selections to choose from.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 20, 2023
Good restaurant and good service
The beer is their own and a good selection and i thought it was great
I had the smoked burger which was delicious. I didn't see that they had tots as a side but the fries were good

Every time I go to DC Oakes the food is sooo good, way over average for a brewery and everyone I bring is always impressed also. The menu is huge and everything I've tried is delicious! Such a treat to eat off this huge, unique menu. Food is reminiscent of a fine dining restaurant.
This is a pic of the witbier pan seared salmon and the bacon marmalade steak sandwich! Oh my goodness the salmon and white sauce are one of a kind and so tasty! Have never had such tasty salmon and white sauce (sauce has witbier wheat beer in it)! The sandwich was also one of a kind with beef filet, bacon marmalade, provolone and aioli! Fish and steak so tender and nicely cooked and juicy!
Definitely worth your time of stopping in. Highly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 26, 2022Previous reviewThe food at this restaurant is amazing! We came in with a large volleyball team with parents. They accommodated us with no complaining and very quick service! The food came out quick and very hot! It's was a great venue that had good locally beers form I adore the Brewery to bringing in other brews from around the surrounding areas.

Family birthday dinner. Jamie was promptly on our table and was not only knowledgeable but really helpful and spicy! We ordered a Chicken Caprese Sandwich to share, a Bomb Diggity (blue cheese) Burger, a PBJ Burger, and a Bacon Marmalade Steak Sandwich ... total winners all around. My Bacon Marmalade Steak San was incredible. Really tasty and on a great bun! Must admit that being seated upon arrival at DC Oakes was a pleasure and a surprise as most frequently they have a long wait list. All in all very pleasurable experience Sunday nite.

We stopped in on the way back from a long drive and after playing at Twin Silo Park nearby. The food was great and it was all reasonably priced! I tried the Belgian Wit and Belgian Strong Gold beers and thought the wit was better, but they were both good. We came during happy hour and their house brews were only $3 each! After seeing peanut butter hamburgers on menus for years, I finally decided to give the PB&J burger a try and it was awesome: the peanut butter pairs well with beef and works well with the salt in the bacon. I highly recommend giving it a try. My wife enjoyed her chicken tender meal and the house margaritas. All of the kids loved their spaghetti with meatballs and the kids meals were only $6 each.
Our waitress was great and took care of all our requests. The place was well-packed, but our food came out in a reasonable timeframe. We will definitely stop in again, as we all left happy and full (which is rare).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
