Last Wednesday, we celebrated our first-ever I-Corps Day during Innovate CSU Day! This was filled with insightful sessions, starting with a lunch and learn where participants engaged directly with Stacyann P. Russell, Director of I-Corps™ Hub West, and Jeff Muhs, NSF I-Corps Senior Program Manager at Colorado State University. Following this, our NSF I-Corps Panel inspired attendees with discussions led by NSF I-Corps participants at CSU (Sydney Spiegel, Carter Dojan, and Amelia Stoner) and Todd Bandhauer, CSU distinguished professor and innovator. Their shared experiences encouraged others to step out of their labs and turn their ideas into reality, emphasizing that pursuing the right path can lead to numerous opportunities. To conclude, we proudly recognized and awarded the CSU 2023 National I-Corps participants for their outstanding achievements. All of these were possible with the invaluable support of our colleagues at I4E and our partners at CSU STRATA! 💡Curious about the NSF I-Corps Program? It wouldn't be Innovate CSU Day without the Venture RAMS Business Showcase!
Wow!! We had an absolute blast at Innovate CSU Day yesterday alongside our partners at CSU STRATA! From the poster showcase at Demo Day to student pitches at the Venture RAMS Business Showcase, it was truly a day filled with immense creativity, innovation, and inspiration! The Venture RAMS Business Showcase wouldn't have been made possible without the support of our CSU community and beyond. Thank you to our keynote, Dan Holt, for delivering a great message emphasizing resilience and pursuing passion and to Dean Beth A. Walker, PhD for speaking on CSU's innovation ecosystem and the impact of our pre-college programming. Additionally, we'd like to give a huge shoutout to our lead sponsor, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, for making this all possible. We had an incredible panel of judges including Kerry Hicks, Stacyann P. Russell, Josh Moser, and Stacey Putka, LSW who offered a wealth of insight and support for each of our participants. Researchers at Colorado State University’s Agricultural Water Quality Program (AWQP) have developed a low-cost, automated water sampler (LCS) with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for scalable, near-real-time water quality research. This can be utilized in edge-of-field (EoF) monitoring and is significantly less expensive than current commercial water samplers. #TechTuesday #WaterSampling Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gVMgdX2z

Our team had an incredible experience at Destination Startup's 2024 program last week! Our founder, Reza Nazemi, showcased our revolutionary fertilizer manufacturing technology to over 100 investors. Our technology aims to revolutionize farming by offering low-cost, sustainable fertilizers, thus mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and promoting resilience in a volatile market. We're thrilled about the next steps as we gear up for our pilot program! Thank you, Venture Partners at CU Boulder, for making this event possible! #NitroCatEnergies #DestinationStartup2024 #Sustainability #AgTech #Innovation

#TechTuesday: Researchers at Colorado State University have developed a device to safeguard electronic devices from tampering or war-driving and to prevent interference between two or more wireless signals. This device uses novel 3D printed metal/plastic composite shielding to control the distance and direction of wave signal readability. The novel composite shielding is capable of blocking EMI and RFI readability except in the direction and from the distance desired. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gmEaPRRG
