This silky (aluminum) ribbon is the first of three installations that will flow through West Olive Alley in Downtown Fort Collins. Designing this gateway element was a unique opportunity for our engineering team, and managing the installation reinforces one of our favorite things – we often build what we design! Sufficient water flow and pressure are essential – especially for fire rescue. That’s why the Town of Windsor prioritized a partnership with the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District to construct the New Liberty Road Interconnect. Thanks to this new vault, the Town will automatically have access to a redundant water source in case of emergency. Our team commonly manages potholing field operations to complete subsurface utility engineering plans. While these potholes are a cool glimpse into the utility infrastructure beneath our feet, they are also a risk mitigation tool! The data minimizes construction claims and delays by verifying utility conflicts during the design phase.

We are fortunate to have a team of talented engineers partnering with local municipalities to deliver projects with an impact – an impact on their family, friends, and their community. The history of Engineers Week is a long one – 73 years to be exact. That’s 73 years of celebrating an industry steeped in public stewardship. We are proud to be part of this history and see communities, like the Town of Windsor, supporting engineering by proclaiming Engineers Week locally. #Eweek2024 #WelcometotheFuture
